The shorten time and spaces increase more opportunity for people to interact all around the world. Since the tower of Babel, people need to speak the same language in order to communicate with others. For those who do not speak the same language, interpreters would be needed in order to make the conversation between the two. Therefore, a good interpreter needs to be mastered in those two languages, understands the field of conversation, and of course, is aware of the two cultures.
Also, a good interpreter should not only be knowledgeable, but also needs to be elegance and the presence of the interpreter should be as pleasant as having the primary speaker. Therefore, interpreters should dress appropriately and properly clean their facial hairs or wear the suitable hairstyle. Moreover, a good interpreter should not make him/herself to standout more than the person he/she is interpreting. Otherwise, the audience would lose the focus on the speaker and the conversation or speech would also lose attention.
In short, an interpreter should be professional both in area of interpreter and looks. Of course, no one is born with the ability to interpret well and have a good looking at the same time. Thus, an interest in communication and passion to serve are most important as the quality of an interpreter.
